Evangelism

Evangelist Shelia Ellis is our Director of Evangelism. Preaching the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is not necessarily stationary. But it is to go where ever the Holy Spirit leads one to go, and proclaim to those who have not heard; and persuade them to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior who have not accepted Him; and receive the Holy Spirit who have not received, based upon their conversion and profession of faith (Matthew 28:19, 20; Mark 16:15-18).

Blockwatch Ministry

Our block watch ministry is titled “The Eyes of Eddystone” indicative of our watchful eyes in the community that’s invaluable to law enforcement. We meet at the church every fourth Thursday of the month at 5:30 PM during “late fall and the winter months,” and at 6:30 PM during the “spring and summer months.” The meetings last about two hours, food is available. Our primary boundaries are east to Westerville Rd., west to Bremen St., north to Oakland Park, and south to Lakeview Ave. However, anyone living in the north linden area is welcomed to participate in our meetings. Other streets included are Delno Ave. and McGuffey Rd. We are sanctioned by the Columbus Police Department Liaison Office. Our main attraction is the “Annual National Night Out.” This event takes place all over the country. We meet at the church where speeches are made by Civic Leaders, Public Servants (Politicians), Law Enforcement Officers, etc. lots of food, balloons, signs and posters are displaced and carried as we walk the streets within our boundary proclaiming “FIGHT AGAINST CRIME.” For more information call Pastor Carter at 614-263-2742.

Youth Ministry-Daniel Delegates

Daniel Delegates is a coed youth group that meets at the church every second and fourth Friday of the month from 7:00 until 9:00 PM. Deacon Terry Ingram and Sister Barbara Steward work harmoniously in supervising youths from ages two to eighteen years of age. The curriculum varies, relative to age groups involving social activities, group discussion, and concerns facing our young adults today.

Mt. Lebanon has a compassion for feeding folk physical food as well as spiritual. Mother Nellie Robinson, Sister Mary Sherrill, and Sister Ruby Pannell make up the “Kitchen Committee.” At least every 90 days is a “fellowship meal.” …only requirement is that one must have a good appetite. Food baskets are prepared on basis of special occasion.

Ministry in Prophecy

Pastor Nathaniel Carter is a Lecturer of Biblical Prophecy. Some of his experience includes teaching “Daniel and The Revelation of Jesus Christ” at the Eastern Union Bible College, EUMBA Annual Session Christian Education, Presenter for the Men Class at the Annual Session of the State of Ohio Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows Association.

Pastor Carter is available for work shops, seminars, and gives lectures at various churches.

Prophecy is only credible when the speaker’s words have proven to be genuine; and the fulfillment of his/her words builds credibility. Therefore, that which has come to pass continues to build credibility upon the rest of what is spoken but has not come to pass. All divine prophecy has a purpose and time within the Kingdom of God, and that prophecy must glorify God and not the speaker.

A classic example of God establishing a person to be credible is the Prophet Daniel. The first six chapters of the Book of Daniel for the most part, we see that God first establishes Daniel to be credible via Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon. The last six chapters of the Book of Daniel God spoke directly to Daniel prophesying and confirming the most comprehensive prophecy in our Bible.

As the world turns we can vividly witness the fulfillment of God’s Word right before our eyes, specifically in the Book of the Revelation of Christ.

Late 1978 God confirmed Pastor Carter’s Call to the Gospel Ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ by a documented earth quake that affected the East Coast of the United States. Late 1980 and early 1981 during a live broadcast on WVKO Radio, Columbus, Ohio, Pastor Carter saw in a dream our country being attacked by planes. During his lectures he is very specific in describing this same event in detail in two separate dreams. When “911” happened he called some of the persons who heard him speak, one of whom is Bishop Donald J. Washington, Pastor of the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, Columbus, Ohio.
